Penny Van Hazelberg

 

Penny Van Hazelberg’s visual art style explores subjects and themes through a child like, cartoonish lens. Often seeming unfinished and messy , his works leave space for the receiver to explore and interpret.

Influenced by the streets rather than the galleries, splashes of graffiti, vandalism and non contemporary street art fill the surfaces along with logos and branding seen in day to day modern life.

 

The cut and paste, upcycled techniques are akin to sampling in the music production world.
